Four-day grand opening for Texas Live begins today

Texas Live, the $250 million entertainment district backed by the Texas Rangers, The Cordish Companies and the City of Arlington, will hold its grand opening celebration today through Sunday in the Arlington Entertainment District.

The 200,000 square foot center will include dining, entertainment and, next year, the first Live! by Loews hotel. The center also will be home to a 5,000-capacity outdoor event pavilion, Arlington Backyard.

The 14-story, 302-room Live by Loews - Arlington, TX hotel will include a 35,000 square foot Grand Event Center.

National recording artist and Dallas-Fort Worth native, Toadies, is set to perform on the Arlington Backyard stage August 9.

The weekend also will include a concert featuring national recording artist Bleachers and Joywave at Arlington Backyard. (Concert-goers must be 21 or over.)

Ticket information can be found at the Tickefly website.

The celebration will continue throughout the weekend with live music and entertainment, events and activities for the community.
